Eurovision Union’s Weekly Playlist (39/52)

Each week, Eurovision Union is dedicated to bring you a specially curated playlist with a whole bunch of our favourite Eurovision and National final stars, new and old! This week has been packed with new releases from the stars we know and love, so it’s sure to be a playlist you’ll love as much as we do!

Listen to the playlist here:

It’s been a big week for new releases so let’s start with the newbies of the week! We’ll start off with the Scandi songs, since there’s been a couple from Sweden and Norway. Let’s start off with the song that’s impressing us the most this week, and that’s ’71 Charger by former Eurovision winner Loreen. We think it could possibly be one of her best songs, at least one of her best new releases, and we’re totally addicted. Former Melfest star Adrijana was knocked out in the semi-final, but we love her all the same, and she has just dropped a new song called Brr Brr. From Norway, we have yet another JOWST remix, which we’ve been loving lately, and this time it’s the Czech Eurovision song from this year, My Turn that’s had the JOWST treatment!

In amongst the other new music we’ve got a couple from Ukraine, with the first being a track that features the Ukrainian national finalist from this year, Mélovin alongside Ruzhynski. The Hardkiss have also released a new track titled Lovers, which is featured on this playlist! We’ve got new tracks from 2016 Eurovision stars Iveta Mukuchyan, who just released the song Depi nor Irakanutyun, and Azerbaijani representative Samra, who has recently released the song Ters Gedir.

2017 Austrian representative and one of our favourites, Nathan Trent has just released a new track, and it’s a chilled tune called Good Vibes. Former Moldovan representative Pasha Parfeny has also very recently released a song called Acasa. Earlier in August, Estonian national finalist Grete Paia released a song called Wasted Youth, which is on this week’s playlist for you!

We’ve got a bunch of older songs from former Eurovision stars, including from Italian sensation Marco Mengoni. This week we’ve chosen his hit song Guerriero, which is a change of pace from his usual upbeat pop style. We’ve also added one of Dami Im’s previous song, Super Love, which still remains as one of her biggest hits. We’ve got one of our favourite Latvian artists, Intars Busulis, plus we’ve also got a fan favourite from Austria, Zoë with the song Adieu. From fellow 2016 representative Jamie-Lee, we’ve picked a song from her previous album titled Lions Heart.

We’ve got three national final songs this week, including Dust in the Wind, which was performed by Chase in the Hungarian national final this year. From the Swiss national final, we’ve got the song Gold by Freschta. We’ve also got the song Make Me (La La La) by Dinah Nah, which was in a previous edition of Melodifestivalen.

The last couple of songs this week are previous Eurovision songs, including Ljubav Je which was the Bosnian entry in 2016, and we’ve also got the Albanian entry from 2016 by Eneda Tarifa, however we have the Albanian language version titled Perralle.
